Most likely it will want to be leaned out , make small changes ! ( turned IN )Thanks ill keep messing with it. Should these be rich for cold weather? With the b5 paddles on a frozen lake it is a blast. Drive up on a snowmobile they don't know what to think. Especially with the pipe sounds like a snowmobile to.
Not true for cold weather, cooler dense air require more fuel to run properly. Hard cold start are to be expected, and tuning should be done after the engine warms up.Most likely it will want to be leaned out , make small changes ! ( turned IN )
I thought I had that backwards ! thanks for the update , and YA get it warmNot true for cold weather, cooler dense air require more fuel to run properly. Hard cold start are to be expected, and tuning should be done after the engine warms up.
Filter don't matter mate. It's all part of how the engine gets tuned. Storm just blew out of here this morning. Where you located?I should note i have a dt1 triple layer filter, velocity stack, and outerwears over that. Ill make some adjustments after this nor’easter passes.
Like SeanD commented , cold air = richer carb settings. I also strongly suggest waterproofing your electronics, and bring a propane torch to pre-warm the cylinder to assist in easier cold startup. Thanks ill keep messing with it. Sounds like a ball ache?I spent a few winters out on the ice with my Savage nitro mt, moisture wreaks havoc with the servos. You can seal them with rtv, and wad some grease around the splined output shaft. Some guys also used small balloons . You also need to seal the tire beads or water will saturate the inner foams and cause major rotational imbalance. I used to wrap the engine cyl with aluminum foil to lessen air flow so the engine could reach operating temps in the cold.

They are, but if you get the tune and heat right I swear they go faster.Sounds like a ball ache??
