anyone here have a first hand experience on these 2 carbs? My stock 5t 2.0 sucked sand, i rebuilt the carb, it got better but still not running properly. now i just want to replace the carb but ran into this 990 without internal choke and is apparently high-performance.

thanks!

ye, im afraid you're right, i already bought the piston kit. just haven't installed. i'm actually debating whether to replace the piston before replacing the carb. the car stays running but the power isn't there, i've leaned the carb high needle but no improvement.

thanks for responding

strip the engine and check the bore of the cylinder as well for gouges and/or scratches to the surface fella, flush the bottom end as well if you sucked sand in there,
fit the piston and get a cylinder as well if its scored badly and fit the same time as the carb (y)
