A combo like that would mean not having to lug a drill everywhere you goIce_2k said:What is that? Something similar to Killer RC's drill starter? I'm actually also considering it)) The only thing keeping me back is I don't like depending on the drill... I would love a drill starter that also has the capability of being started with a pull rope.
+1 on that a pull start is way easier then remembering to take a drill and remembering to charge the drill. Concentrating more on a better tune will give you easier starts, way better running, less plug fouling, much longer run time on the motor and so much more all the way around.Ildy666 said:If you tune right. Pull start is far easier IMO.....
Peppy responsiveness is what you are looking for when tuning the LSN. As soon as leaning it doesn't provide any more improvement, you richen it at least 1/16 of a turn. Keep in mind that transition from low speed to high speed may still require minor tweaks to make it smooth.Ice_2k said:How do you guys tune your LSN? With the HSN it's relatively easy, just search for top revs but how'bout LSN?I'm guessing the LSN is the most important tuning part in getting the engine started.
If it is flooding when you are try to start it then yes.Ice_2k said:Thanks. For my stock settings, I was richening to the point where it was dying at idle, then leaning 1/8 and that was the max performance. With the new setup, I'll have to start over. Could a too rich LSN be the cause of my startup issues yesterday?
+1 Very good response!!!!!!designed2survive said:Peppy responsiveness is what you are looking for when tuning the LSN. How can I tell? I don't know if it was flooding or not, it just wasn't starting. Of course after a lot of pulls and no start it eventually gets flooded, too rich or not.rcgasser said:If it is flooding when you are try to start it then yes.

If it has started. It was still within or close to the baseline for it to start. While it is running, richen it until it starts bogging and tune from there.Ice_2k said:How can I tell?
