I can take a pic of the metal pawl but I'm not sure if it helps. The pull start is back on the car. You know when installing the pawl, it goes on those 2 curved things and as it rotates it goes down. Well, those curved things were at least 1mm wider than the space allowed for them inside the pawl.

Sure looks that way, there were a lot of rough edges and other stuff that was clearly not precise machining.

Do you guys know if there are other alternatives for a metal pawl?

Go on gizmo motors they sell rcmk pullstarters with the metal pawl installed for $12 and they give u the plastic pawl back also....

Considering all the upgrades (jetpro, wt-1107, aluminium intake manifold with teflon spacers) and the larger 32cc, do you guys think 5.5-6 bhp is a realistic figure?

I doubt it. You would need to do some kind of porting to get in that range.

I will go down Thursday to Redcat and see if I can find a 4 bolt 32cc to get tested on the OBR dyno.

I'm not sure of anything except what it says there :) But the 3.5hp figure is consistent with a stock engine, isn't it?

To be fair, my DR went absolutely mad after adding the jetpro, the difference was nothing short of staggering, so the ~60% increase from a good pipe alone might be plausible...

CPI does claim ~60% hp increase when using their pipe. Not sure about reality as this is a huge bump in power from just an exhaust swap.

Yes, I think over half my outings are at night so I actually use the lights :)

I took my Jetpro off and now I can't get it back in the right position for some reason.
