That clutch has gotten far too hot, we now know why you where going through spurs, your gearing must have been to high
Thats interesting, it's running 19/55, I don't think that would be too high. The spur thing was definitely the top plate, don't think the clutch had anything to do with it. Maybe it was slipping a bit
Mark what's your opinion on my selling Baja , goingLosi thing ?

Do you want me to tell you not to do it and keep the baja? ?

Tell me what you think ?
Or make them brittle ,an cause chipping teeth!
Possibly, but I have an hour plus in this spur (more time it took to ruin the last few) and zero issues. I don't think heat played a part in the spur issues.

Explain? Because I don't believe that one bit, all I ever run is ufc or fs clutches. Never an issue ever and they will outlast anything and grab harder than a standard clutch

Metal to metal creates heat ,if a clutch shoe is all metal ,then they are designed different for full contact an have more
material!
A padded shoe ,once the pad wears off ,there is less contact an will slip an create more heat!

In some applications ,there is metal shoes ,but they are designed for full contact ,much like a dual spring type shoe!

You are correct more heat, but that doesn't matter unless your worried a out it. They are still designed the same as far as how much contact.

Obviously a standard clutch shoe will slip with its pad missing. It isnt designed that way and the metal materials are completely different.

A hinged clutch shoe doesn't have much contact any way ,only the end portion gets contact ,when dealing with higher
end racing engines ,you would want more!

In nitro racing ,we always want more ,3 & 4 shoe or a full circle shoe!

I had a 5ive for a short time but I found it to big and arkward because I was keeping my rigs in the dining room at the time in our last house, I also found it slow and unexciting much like the dbxl that I had and moved on too?

If I was to get another 5ive it would deffo be getting a bigbore heart??

I don't think the all metal clutches are bad for 1/5. Ive had the identical one as Z in my DBXL for a long time with zero issues. Any fade from heat isn't noticeable to me. For some reason Z's is getting way to hot though. You best just sell it Z, that baja is a cursed basket case. Lie like hell and make it someone else's problem.????
Lazy fek didn't want to clean it so I just added oil ?‍♂️?‍♂️????
So your 20/1 mix was closer to 10/1 with the direct oil injection system you feked together.?‍♂️?‍♂️????‍♂️?‍♂️

Everyone that has been involved in land base gas RC's has always looked for better performance clutches ,an even use to
modify them at one point or another ,I been in the RC game too long an know a lot of the tricks to the game!

No ,I am not too active now ,the reason why ,is because I am litterely burned out on it!

One of the most things that kill clutches ,is one's driving style ,like constant on an off throttle an what terrain the
RC is driven on are factors ,different clutch spring tension ,or even a bad idle can cause ecessive wear on shoes!

Yeah never noticed any fade at all with my clutch. No idea why the fek it is getting so hot ?‍♂️
Definitely cursed, no matter what you fix it still breaks ?‍♂️?‍♂️?? or just beat to fek.
Yo how much do Losi rollers go for? Near stock.
