Nice truck! Your going to be surprised and disappointed with the stock engine. It's not terrible but it really has no high rpm, and no dead start torque. But great mid range throttle response. I'm mostly in love with the way it all fits in the truck, driver installed, pipe completely inside. Air filter location is the worst thing I've seen, like an upside down snorkel! Never mind watch out for puddles, stay away from wet grass!
I've got a few ideas and some parts in mind I need to order, but any other engine will most likely ruin those ideas as the carb is even further under the gas tank.
I already wrote to Taylor about some type of relocation of the air filter, but he responded they had no time at the moment.
I'm wondering if the carburetor can be flipped pointing up instead of back? Much more work needed for that to happen though.

Filter isn't as big of an issue as you are making it sound, it's centrally located and I've ran mine through mud and water with zero issues and so have many others. A good outerwear and it's not a problem at all. If you sink it, that's another story, but not many people are going through 12" of water or want to.

Good looking mega, I wish I kept my last one. Was a super fun truck with the Taylor 71 in it. The brass bushings are a good cheap upgrade for the pinions to help keep the torque off the bearings.

I expected that. I’ll try blow it up. Lol.
I don't know if it can blow itself up...no high rpm, try running some kind of highly volatile fuel maybe? It's like an old 305 I had in an old pick up, wanted to blow it, then put a 350 modified. But that 305 lasted 15 yrs of constant abuse hauling either trailer or loaded like a pyramid with wood.

Dam! That's a good lookin rig! Are the side plates of your nudge bar painted ? Mine are, found that weird there not polished?
Heads up for the front tow shackles, I had used mine previously with out, so when I first moved it around after I was searching for a new clin clin noise. Lol

I put rubber o-rings on each side. No more Ching Ching.
It looks powder coated. Steel? Never checked if magnet sticks.

Wow, yah! Got some beefy tie rods now!
You lucky dog with the special edition servos... I tried to get two from ali express during the sale, but was limited to one per customer??? Looks good in blue! I'm sure they'll be fast enough.
Have you chosen a grill yet?
Definitely an upgrade compared to the wire of the stock swaybars

New front section coming from primal. My body got a bit crunched during delivery. Primal was awesome. Steve is sending me a new front section out.

I ordered a few more things. A grave digger body and cage. And a bunch of other stuff. Fun things coming yet.
We got snow today. 2” on the ground

Snow! Yikes, it's 21 hear today, tomorrow also, in between rain shows I'm still running in my new Taylor engine. Going to get cold tomorrow night and have frost for the first time. Can't wait to try my mega truck with the monster tires in snow. I don't care if the stock engine in that doesn't like it.
I guess the delivery guys figured it was to heavy and dropped it! Mine was cutting threw the bottom of both boxes when I got it

Keep an eye on those js performence links, 2 of mine bound up after couple months, the long ones. They were both the horizontal rod ends.Seem very suseptable to dirt or damage in horizontal placement.Running primal hd ones with no issues for a year now. Some research shows rod ends placed in horizontal are likely to fail, consider a high maintainence application.Keep clean but don't lube it might hold dirt......
