@crucialRC

The linkage setup is perfect for a Baja. It is thick and doesn't bend much. I have the so called upgraded one from Detroit and still bends. The kraken one is also much cheaper at $20.

This is what I did on the Baja for it to be more stable and it works absolutely fantastic.

It is the little triangle spring looking thing from the 30N buggy linkage assembly and I just used a small turnbuckle to mount it. It works fantastic man.

Started getting her ready in-between races. Decided on the the 55 supreme for this build. Mocking up the engine in the buggy so I can see how my sx5 cage will fit with the big trc pipe. Now gotta tear her down and and send some parts to Travis at Bateman Coatings to get that signature color on them. The name for this build will be Purple Haze.

Update time. Rear end. Able to get some parts on it today. I mocked up the engine and pipe completely so I can make sure the sx5 cage fits without issues and with only minor cage trimming it fits like a charm. Also installed the vekta quick release parts on it, thanks to @John Parks. I'm using the kraken billet upgrade trans case and gear plate. Taylor Blackbone gear layshaft and clip-less hinge pins. EVERYTHING fit with no issues guys. I did notice there wasnt much diff fluid from the factory. I added 1M fluid to it. Also wasnt much grease on the trans gears. Fixed that with some MCD diff grease. The rear arms needed some hinge pin shims and the right engine brace needed to be trimmed to allow the larger 62mm Taylor Blackbone bell.

NIce work, you found the same things as I did. Their tolerances are so far out.

Is the angle of the shocks able to be fixed at all?
I don't think so. The shear length and size of the shocks will make it difficult. The rear looks like it would be possible but the front looks real iffy. Dean also doesn't have a vesla in his shop at the moment so trying and fitting is impossible for him right now. Maybe in the future tho. 20230506_115719.jpg20230506_115723.jpg20230506_115731.jpg20230506_115736.jpg
