Motul micro 2t oil is fantastic, I use it on my race 5ive-t and deposits are much much less. Motul 800 from what I've heard here is great as well but I've never run it.

Here's a piston off my race 5ive with one full day of racing. About 20 minutes practice. 10 minute qualifier and 20 minute A-main. Along with maybe an hour total run time prior to the race day.20230724_221825.jpg

Oh boy , box of goodies came from ddm, must have hit the magic number this time...got a sticker and a mint, lol
Still finishing my move ( can't believe how much stuff fits into a house 25 x 35 and a garage 28 x 40 with 30 000 sq ft of land) and have about 5 rc's in various states of dismantlement, but with this box there's no more excuses to not fire up my vekta for the first time...except I don't have a track yet, but I got the pre filters now to keep the grass out, even with them they will block with grass at least I can run it a bit and not need to take off the head cover to unblock the head fins and fan. Just another reason to put a free air big block! But I was pro small block up until just lately

Oh boy, didn't notice the month go by! Maybe I have started to follow some good advice I heard about finishing one then do another???
Or I've just been doing lots of things. Had this TV stand that swivels, it was my grandfather's! So now that TVs are so thin they hang on the wall I decided to give it a new job. Took my engine back out to put on the inside outerwares screen, put on metal servo horns, but the throttle horn I got needs big spacers for the tiny screws that hold the rods, even the other one on ddm has threads but to big also, either I'll make sleeves or get the 5t linkage package, but for now I will try the plastic horn, still want the metal servo mounts...so I'll decide by then, put on the full forse front skid plate, now I just want to direct power my servos, then finish installing the vertigo quick release pins to the side and finally install the body side panels. Also been getting my PC hooked up in my room, the go pro charged and making a holder for my phone to my transmitter. Testing and videos coming soon.

I guess it's been humid in the solarium, I hadn't given it my usual wd40 treatment and a bunch of the screws driveshaft and dog bones are getting rusty! So I put some wd40 on them now

So I got all that stuff done and after a 10 min run of my mega truck the receiver battery died leaving half a tank or more left, so I pumped it out and put it in the vekta! First start was hard, wouldn't fire at all, took the plug out three times to check for spark and was always good??? Put a new plug in in a brap! It was pretty flooded so I had to hold the throttle for a bit for it clean out then I let it warm up. Started of semi easy on it cause I still think I need to break it in, but that didn't last long, after a few turns around I was up to half throttle up and down the driveway, then after a couple minutes I was gunning it for second then half. I was all smiles and had to go to the small track and was giving it. Nothing is groomed yet so the grass and dirt where just flying. This thing ripps!!!. Super stable, gunning on turns. Nothing but a big grin from ear to ear.
My super duper chrome paint had no resistance to the torment of gravel on the driveway and even the rear trailing arm and dif housing show signs of blasting! Always looked like it was on transport wheels with the stock ones so I went out looking for different ones. Was wishing for wider but when I found these j concepts magmas I chose to try them. Designed with changeable center hubs for x maxx or arma 8s, They are frickin huge massive and pretty heavy but I think the 34 ported will have no trouble, honestly it seemed under geared stock. But I did order and have the lower gear option for it so I'm not worried.

So I loaded it on the 4 wheeler with my gas and go pro in the back, suddenly my 4 wheeler seemed tiny with this vekta.5 on the front rack. Took a small video with my go pro, these tires and the tall grass made me think about my next move... gear down or Taylor engine! Lots of fun but I was needing to hold it wot most of the time, haven't changed the tune or checked my plug colour yet, after the rollover I stopped filming but kept bashing until it seemed like the receiver battery was dead and could bearly turn, going to have to take off the servo horns, but the one closest to the steering has alot of slop in the top bearing when I turn and its really slow, so I think I killed a servo...
ahhhh need to add more to the list. Aren't these things fun! If it wasn't for these I'd be cutting wood or building something else
