Just ordered a second receiver which will be delivered tomorrow or Thursday so I don't have to use a separate hand set for each FG ;) Engine mounts, shock seals & tuning brake should be in at rossmods tomorrow and all my new bearings were delivered from JE Spares last Friday so time permitting, I may have it up & running for weekend :scooter::celebrate::party-time: I will keep the pics coming til its finished then hopefully get some vids posted of it running :cool2:
 
Well it wont be finished this weekend now :cursing:
I went 'shopping' this afternoon as rossendale models & bought new seals, new shaft and oil for the FG ally shocks and a pair of engine mounts but the layshaft tuning brake didnt come in this weeks delivery so will have to wait til next weekend now :(

New receiver arrived in the post today from Schumacher so Im all set apart from the brake.

Frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah well jobs for the weekend if I get time are:-
get the engine in loose for now til layshaft brake arrives
sort the shocks & get them fitted
fit the new receiver & sort the wiring out inc battle switch type kill switch (hope it works!! :scared:)
fit the roll cage
blingy wheels back on :cool2:
sort out mounting posts for bug shell

I will wait on fitting the FG tuned pipe til last so it doesn't get in the way.

Cant wait to get this thing running now :w00t: Im like a kid waiting for Christmas :lol::lol:

No not yet bud. Ross mods didnt have the layshaft brake in stock so I cant align the engine til I fit that so was waiting til I had all the bits. Should be good to go next weekend :w00t:
 
Changed the seals, a shaft & the oil in the FG ally shocks that came with the marder today. Apparently these are the same you get as std on the marder race.

yeah there the 20mm fg fat shocks i have these on mine great shocks i put the alloy pistons in mine check out the thread [20mm fat shock mod] its a old post but helpfull if you want to upgrade them without getting new shafts as fg recomend i just drilled them out and i workedmuch smoother than the plastic pistons what can stick and wear

I take it you got the o rings out and back in ok then?

they are a bit different to mine...standard red ones.!

Yeah got them out. It was a bit of a pain getting the 2nd o-ring back in but go there in the end :D

WTF was going on.
That's what you do with Integy shocks, not FG !!
Give them a damned good clean out, then replace the O-rings, which MIGHT be why the EEEDIOT before you fitted grease, unless it was Adrian Newey trying out new shocks on his next F1 incarnation !!
