OOOOh that looks nice..I bought the stainless box from wheelspin and it has been great..only used what was required and got loads left over for future repairs..
screw colour has never bothered me either...cant see them flat out or when covered in mud..:lol::lol:
I just wish I had enough money to order parts as required (between contracts at the moment so skint)
Sadly yes I'm currently working as a house renovation expert :lol::lol:
I'm a builder...lol
but we do specialise in listed building renovations..finished 1 about 6 weeks ago and planning was knocked back on the next one so we could have another 6 weeks for the next job...but I might have a few bit here and there..
needless to say I'M SKINT..
I am originally a hydraulic engineer so I do have a fair mechanical knowledge but got fed up with the oil baths :lol::lol:
I think most people are the same..I worked in hydraulics for 7 yrs then mechanical fitter for 4 yrs then complete retrain as a setting out /surveying engineer(also doing site management)5yrs then said sod it all and lets build houses...lol. I have a few things I can fall back on but sadly there is just no work out there...but I must have my toys...:lol::lol:

I need to take the engine out again as Im not 100% happy with the set up & gear mesh between pinion & spur. There is a definite tight spot but Ive checked the teeth and there is no obvious damage so Im thinking the layshaft is bent slightly. The ratio is correct at 18/46 so no problem there either. With the number of problems found at strip down and the heat that had been generated in this area Im not surprised the shaft is bent :scared: Ah well simple fix!!
Whilst its out I also need to file a bit more off the engine casing so the large mount sits better. It got late and it was just a do but that is not good enough!!!
