Saves about $800 dollars over an HPI ready to run so that more than covers a new OBR engine? Besides that, it doesn't matter what buy, you are going to upgrade. So why pay all that extra for parts you arent going to use anyways

Waay better truggy all round and the .28 that comes with it is pretty good also.

Owning a bunch of hpi stuff (1/8) buy a savage. I have an savage xl. Love it to death. The glow engine was the downfall (K 5.9) the 4.6 has a very good track record. I personally did an electric conversion. Much easier than a nitro engine and I dare say more power. Sorry for the crap pics kinda dark down in the basement.

If you are talking 8th scale i would recommend either a Losi eight RTR or a Kyosho MP9 TKI4.

The HPI Trophy 4.6 goes for $439 and the Losi 8ight RTR is $399.
HPI 3.5 goes for $389 Losi 8ight buggy RTR is $349.

Losi over hpi every time...the 8 platform is proably the best 1/8th out there....quality is far superior on the losi
The trophy's suffer from bendy chassis syndrome...look it up...and they need a load of upgrades to b bashable....unlike the losi's

U need to also look at the hobao line of 1/8th 's....again ....much better then the hpi's...hyper7....vs....The hyper st pro truggy's r awesome ....I've had 2x....nornal one and a pro......solid trucks

Here the losi ones are more expensive in euros, hpi 3.5 349€, truggy 4.6 519€. Losi are 420€ and truggy 450€, but I'm looking both, kyosho here have spare parts expensive.

The hoboa mtE r very good once fit a chassis brace
Im done with nitro now...sold it all as brushless is so much easier and less haessle imo
