Hi all
Got my Losi running today after work, :):):):)
Replaced coil, replaced motor mount screws (after removing bad 1) with Stainless Steel ones
when I first tried starting, could feel the compression but no pop's, so pulled spark plug and it was wet (that's never good) pulled motor over several times, installed new plug went back to stock setting on low and high needles, loosened gas tank cap, pulled a couple times and had a pop (no choke), set idle little higher couple more pulls and pops, turn idle up more and it started and died turned up little more and it started,
ran in street for 5-10 minutes making few carb adjustments running Good, put it on the bench noticed very black oil/fuel on rear of chassie.
its is still first gallon of fuel going thru it,
Running 25:1 mix, Red Line oil 92 octane
Awsome u got here running ?

the black oil you see is because the engine is running rich.
little more brake in and tune and it will go away.
always let your truck warm up for a minute so you don't cold sieze the engine.
couple minutes at idle will warm it up enough.

ok so what am I missing here.
took the 2.0 apart ans did some up grades and changed a few things.
when I put it back together I am having trouble with the mesh on the center gear when I tightened the 4 motor screws with the alignment piecen on the screws it makes a loud grinding sound.
all the numbers on the alignment pieces are facing the gastank side of the truck,
any suggestions?
yhx Don.
Are your slugs that go under the chassis the right way?

yeah they are in the right way.
matman did you ever test the olimat pipe you got?

Too be honest, I have not yet. I got the truck right before we had our baby and all I have been able to do this far is build it up. Have not even put gas in the tank yet.

I love orange on cars/trucks. My 06 GTO is Brazen Orange and people called me crazy for buying it in that color then...seems orange has caught on.
