Good job guy (y)

Thanks Guy's!....

That aluminum is a 1/4'' titanium that came from Edwards airbase ,in which that is what are local public
swimming pool is made out of ,I use to work at the park an maintain it.
It is been at the bottom of the pool for 30 years ,an is a cut out for the new intake for the filteration
system that had to be updated for safety regulations

Here is the pic of the pool that I use to prep & paint every year ,an where the piece came from!

That was an awesome looking potatoe chip in the first pics . Think you did better than I did in creating the bent one.

LOL....It was my fault for driving it on my street ,as curbs don't give!....

I should have known better ,I have plenty of reminders!

Lol....it does look like a ripple potato chip!....
Here's how he ☝ bent his top plate

Knew it was coming didn't you ??

That plate helps hold the steering rack ,so it has to be put back plumb!

OH ,you snapped the chassy ,I just realized it!...

Yup snapped it clean . I'm trying to figure out how you created your potatoe chip without snapping the frame . That is impressive.

You know ,I never thought about that ,it could have been the angle of impact!

Is yours HPI?
It could be a difference in the metals ,if its a different manufacture!

However ,I think that I was worried about it snapping when I was bending it back ,thats the difference
between a milled aluminum an titanium aluminum ,titanium is more rigid an don't give ,subject to snap!

Mine was a Rovan chassis. Pretty sure they use normal 6061 aluminum. The new chassis is made by Scorpion .

Think I paid 80 for the new chassis it's a little thinker than the old one..

Yea ,I would have search for a decent after market one to ,rather than spending on a stock one!

Surely that particular area has a lot of stress ,not counting a impact!
