So, you Kno when you see anodize aluminum, it is dull and doesn't look that good (some might be satisfied with it), so what I did was I took said de anodized part and hit it with a couple rounds of this 415EYkh7xOL.webp
Then after it looks kind of shiny and is super smooth I did a couple rounds of this813-jiTn-xL._SL1500_.webp and this is the end product, looks super super good, it isn't a mirror finish but to me it looks better than a mirror finish15646794010033335187806434259151.webp and when the light hits it nice and goodlike you can see a little sparkle. I know the polish and compound are for cars paint and not raw aluminum but it's just what I had lying around and clearly it works good. This is my fuel tank guard, it adds some pop to my truck, I think I want this finish on all my raw alu parts lol 15646795758222678701799548968979.webp
Got to take those orange shock Sox off, doesn't go with anything and looks redicullous

Ok I'm Gunna do my front and rear top plates, to match since that looks out of placeIMG_20190801_170350.webp
(Don't mind my messy floor, I've got to pick it up)
Those little spots were the oven cleaner didn't de anodize I sanded down with some high grip sand paper so I'm ready to compound and polish. Kinda like this look more than then the brushed aluminum look I did on my other parts. Oh and I removed those goofy ass shock covers (not pictured)

Still looks anodized to me. Just a slightly different color. If it was de-anodized it would look silver and polished with what you used. It looks like a light purple.

I'm more concerned that someone cut off and stole the top front of your shoe. Those bastards! Nothing is sacred.

Spent all his money on his engine.
???? Hey man, nobody needs to know that ?

And it's all back installedIMG_20190801_185530.webp

Did that shock brace last, that one turned into a mirror. That tranny case is annoying as hell now lol wish I could anodize that black, if I de anodized it and polished it, it would be too much shiny in the back imo. I also wish I de anodized by crankcase and polished it as the anodizing is completely f**ked due to my impatience and dumbassery

In what way did it not line up mate?
I know the rear chassis plate flexes without the engine in to hold everything together
The tab on the tranny case was too tall and the with it installed it was moved a couple mms to the right so the rest of the screw holes and locating pegs wouldn't line up. One of many reasons why clone parts and simply not worth it

Looks good, but keep on top of that coating. Unanodized aluminum will dull quite quickly. It won't make a lick of difference for durability, but that shine will go away in a hurry if you don't keep it polished.

Almost all "raw" colored aluminum parts are generally clear anodized, or rather go through the anodizing process without dye to preserve the surface sheen due to its resistance to oxidization.
