MCD part# 340102x these replace 5b front steering links perfect and are WORLDS better than the heavy duty aluminum / steel heim joint kits we get from DDM . Easy 1/2 the weight and way way stronger than anything out there now, And now the best part..... the ends can be rebuilt when slop sets in with new sleeves . MCD does it again with super trick parts . You got to hunt alittle for a photo of these but when you see them you will be sold. find the photos not the black/white drawings. Just got mine in from DHL out of Canada/ Cardinal racing ......WAY COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!

You got 'em. they are wicked lite and the turnbuckles are 8mm . If you blow up pic you will see made 100% end to end 7075-T6 and bushing sleeves are derin . They are the perfect size for HPI 5b and needed no mods to fit .Just one of the heavy duty ones from DDM weighs more than both of these together . LOVE LOVE these!!!!!!!!
I got mine in with DHL canada ,But if you call/e-mail cardinal racing he will drop them in mail and you AnubisBC would have them in a week time . These are very cool
I'm going to order another set and machine them down to replace the upper rear a-arms on my 5b and machine up spacer bushings for spacing in rear bulkheads , get that hard to adjust crap out of the back.....I'm stoked. The boy's at MCD will be beating their heads on the walls knowing that they are making nice HPI parts!!!!.....Lol......
the rear set only need about 15mm taken off AOL. so 7mm or so off each end of turnbuckle and the same with ball end housings and srcew back together and bingo done. You will never know I messed with them as the jam nuts cover up machining of cap ends
When screwed all the way together / as short as can be these are 116mm eye to eye centers.........

I guess I will have to replace my poopy stock plastic ones with those, mcd does make awesome parts. Would probably help out all the slip in my steering (and believe me, there's a ton)

you do know if you take the slop out of your steering you no longer have that excuse while you are sucking up the cold ones!!!!

Thanks for the feedback, i recently upgraded my steering rack and servo linkage (the Rovan uses a super cheap sloppy plastic unit). Over the winter i will also ditch the super sloppy Rovan tie rods. This is the biggest learning gripe with my Rovan is so many critical components have a TON of slop in the components.

Also the rear kit I'm going to mod up will work out great as I am running the 3 degree anti squat kit in mine and not having a upper arm that tilts with this kit does not let it work fully right . the inner pivot ball setup will free up the whole kits install and get the preload out of upper unit.

even if ya had a hpi ss kit they go together with a crap load of slop ! I just got in a roller kingmotor chassis and BOY did they improve the plastics! a-arms are beefed up and over all fit and finish is way improved !!!!!
