Hey guys, my 30 cc king motor won't start, if I put the choke on and pull start it pops no problems, but when I turn the choke off pull start, it just won't fire up, it has a new spark plug fresh fuel, air filter is clean, it nearly starts just won't quiet fire up. any suggestions that would help get the little beast going would be appreciated. The car is about 12 months old hasn't done that many hours, I am pretty much a novice, hopefully someone can help me out.

Try raising the idle a bit, sounds like that's your issue

Did your engine run good previously ? If yes, it sounds like to common Ethanol spooge has clogged your carb internals from lack of using preventative fuel stabilizer. The Walbro type carbs do NOT tolerate Ethanol debris well. They get gummed up easily. The fact your engine runs with the choke on tells me your low speed circut is blocked. Try a blast of starting fluid down the carb. If the engine abruptly starts ,then stalls you have a clogged carb.

Before you go touching carb settings.

Make sure you haven’t over flooded the engine first... (very common specially when you have yanked on the pull start a easy 20-30 times non stop trying to start it, LOL)...

—so if it’s not flooded I would say
try giving it some gas while your yanking on the pull start.
If you get it running this way and dies quickly.
Raise the idle screw just a little bit. Till it can idle without dying.

warm the engine up before you go crazy fine tuning the carb.

If giving it some gas while yanking on the pull start doesn't get it going.

I would RESET the carb to factory settings for both High & Low
And
Raise the idle screw almost all the way, **if this gets it running.
Be ready to lower the idle screw ASAP to where the engine stays running but doesn’t die. Don’t leave it screaming.

If non of this helps. I would take off the carb and give it a good cleaning and try again but I think these carbs are pretty cheap so buying a new one is always better then cleaning/fixing a old one IMO.

ALSO please remember to do all this while the RC is off the ground.
Make sure you have it placed on a stand where the wheels can spin freely.
