LOL! No doubt. I wish I had your budget!
If you do little chunks at a time its not so bad eg. Buy a chassis next buy some tranny parts ? and so you continue till its all in hand ? would be awsome to buy the lot one go but i cant do that?

Yeah, those little chunks are much smaller for me at the moment.

We live in a very expensive part of town, and the wife has her heart set on buying a house ($500k+) and has pretty much put a stop to any ancillary purchases to save for a down payment. Since she's the house accountant, I don't really have a leg to stand on for hobby purchases.

On top of that, we have 2 R53 Mini Coopers. One is mine, the other hers. If I do an upgrade, it has to be for both. She'll be damned if mine is better than hers in any way! And believe me, I'm not taking half measures in making either of them anything short of rip-snorting.

But I did manage to negotiate an OBR 34cc Reed Case motor at the end of this month. I just need to break more poop with it to negotiate for more of the budget... She won't lose it over $100 at a time spread out compared to the $500+ single shot for the motor.

Build one from the ground up. Either figure out what platform is compatible with what. Example. J&A's stuff fits with FG's stuff for the same class. I have wanted to build a Mamba T3-FG leopard/Marder hybrid ever since I saw some dude at a danish RC forums build. Its 1:6 size and a viscious all around off roader. Or build something completely from the ground up. You know what goes into it.

Yeah I have heard from a lot of people by now that BRP is old and tired of making toy tires. I hope someone pick up the torch of that he wants to sell his business. I would love to pick it up.
