couldnt i take the copper, drill a buunch of holes, break the center out, smooth out with a dremel, and bam spacer?? cuz i don't have one of them jewler saw things lol.

Much more complicated that that. Fins are in the way much need to be machined away, drilling would suck nor do I have a drill bit for the tap, squish band is too big on my head so the valve would interfear with it so Id need a thread reducer.Can you take the decomp lever out of new head and move it to your original head, Maybe just with a drill and tap?
4mm is wayyyyy too much, i will have zero squish at that point. 2mm is what i need, aluminum is eisier to find and cheaper. copper i can only find in 1mm if i don't wanna spend $50+ on in (rediculous). what you say about the blowouts and leakage is very true,if you are using all them stacked on the head (which i believe is what you said you were doing) you are adding 2 extra mating surfaces, so there is a higher possibility for leakage/blowouts. also with the thinner copper it will have a bit higher tendency to deform so might increase risk of a gasket to fail. so there is that to weigh into the decision.
depending on how much cheaper it is to get 1mm thick, you could probably get that for now then eventually get 2mm thick material. might have someone else shed some light on that though though.
as far as using aluminum instead, i know nitro engines sometimes have one of the head shims made of aluminum, usually the thicker one. but as far as gassers i have no idea.
aluminum would be easier to find something 2mm or even 4mm thick.
going this route might even just get 2 of the regular gaskets and can use as a gasket between a 4mm thick aluminum piece and the block/head. that way you arent stacking gaskets on top of each other.
(hopefully what i just said just makes sense, it does in my head but re-reading it i don't know how easy it is to understand.)
