Cant say much about the e version, but I've owned a normal dbxl for years now. The biggest issue I have had is pins coming put of the cv shafts. They also wear quickly. I just invested in a set of flm center CV shafts. So far so good. (I don't have much run time on them yet) you should boot every CV end you can and grease them. I've had many sway bar links break. The shocks suck. I run 5ive t shocks on mine. Servos will need replaced sooner then later. Diff fluid is rather light imo. I run 60k 500k 60k. Chassis braces are a must, as well as an alloy top plate. And you may want to invest in a set of axle extenders, they tend to traction roll a good bit. I've had other issues, but they are more 2 stroke specific. Best of luck mate, and welcome back

Flm seen lots of their products on eBay. It’s good stuff?
None of those other things scare me. I’ll buy a ton of spares for each of my models anyway. My closest hobby shop is a hour away.
I think I’ll grab one tomorrow. I’ll be in the city.
Is it a big deal to mount up losi 5 t shocks?

I’m in Canada. Sale here on them too. $850 I want to say. If I’m wrong I’m not far off. They are listed for 1350 from every hobby shop. The day the v2 comes out.
What’s new on the v2?
I’m in Canada to. Aluminum shock towers, heavier drive train. I would probably wait till v2 i were u

Yes, they are about the best you can get for a dbxl.

No its not too hard, see link

Buy one! It’s great. They’re $599 right now at large scale rc. Or u can wait for V2.
I personally would wait for the V2 as well, it does look a bit more robust, but if the V1 could be had for a really good price, it would make it hard to wait.

Seems it needs some mods to make it run right.

The E version has a different drive line. The pins in the old petrol version were a problem but I've not heard the same issue about the E version. I know someone who even uses an E for an industrial application and it's been ultra reliable. The 2.0 should be even better as they've fixed a few things and now has a aluminium centre diff. Both the 5ive and DBXL should have had one from the factory.
