Broke!

Tank #20 broke an intake bolt. Anyone else snapping bolts on there rovan 30.5 cc 305a? Figure its just a fluke. Maybe someone at the factory overtightened it. Going to have to upgrade intake an exhaust bolts. Went from ripping to completely dead. Only sputtered a bit when choked. Figured air leak. Hopefully can drill it out.
Also note very surprising it didnt lean an seize as i was clamped before it died. Hoping this is the issue as when diagnosing i did have spark and it wanted to start when choked.

Ditch that motor and get a zen 29 or 32 longblock and you'll be sorted ??

Im going to drill out or extract then just hammer on it till it blows. Can i slap on a 45cc cylinder/piston in the future? Or do i need to replace an entire engine?

I will most likely go that road at some point. Just curious if a larger top end fits? 45cc top end kit with piston an hardware from rovan is 72$ Vs 300$. Cheap fun an to tinker during the lockdown. Figure they must all be interchangeable?

You would need a whole new bottom end. I'd just get a zen like D says. The 45 is nothing to write home about

I figured no replacement for displacement. Even a 36cc wouldn’t fit??? Does the zenoha g320 put out more power than a 30.5/36cc rovan?

Nope won't fit either. I asked rovan the same question a while and they said no. Can't speak on the power, but I suspect it will. The rovan 30cc (2.81hp) makes less hp than the zen 290 (3.5hp ) so I imagine the 320 zen will make even more

If 300 is too much for a complete motor, you can also grab a longblock and bolt your stuff into there , think the zenoah 290 longblock is like 145 USD, I think?

Definitely going with the g320 but got the broken bolt out well see how the rovan 30.5 lasts. You guys know your stuff, Very impressed.

With care it should last. I had my Rovan 5SC since '11 and it finally bit the dust last year. (Engine, everything else broke within a few years of abuse)

I could be wrong but the inside of your crank case looks dirty from the pic, does it smell of exhaust fumes? If so you will need to replace the piston ring.

All back together still rips. Two tanks later clutch spring broke lol. I cant win.
