I've bought 2 saws brand new. A 435 husqy and my 390xp. The 435 was a bad joke flfor firewood duty, didnt last long. Only home owner saw I ever bought new. After that experience i bought (used) my 346xp, and was given my 359 by my father in law.(no compression, he ran it to death) decided I needed a bigger saw. Bought my 390xp, and the extra premixed gas for the 4 year warranty. Any more I'll buy used.

I use a 24" because thats the length log that fits in my furnace. Makes for easy measuring. Its a bit big for my saw but not by much. I try to cut my wood as big as possible so I have less cuts and less to split. Been considering the move to pellets or compressed dust. I hate doing firewood.

Nah, I gotta agree. Been heating with wood my whole life. It gets old. Especially since I have to go and find free wood. That's getting hard to do. People think you should pay them for getting rid of something they have no use for. I cut for 24" logs too, but having that long of a bar is no way for me in a little saw. From the tip to the felling mark in the 359 is 24 inches. I keep the big bars for the big saws since I have them.
I'm only 8 to 10 cords.... still sucks

I get it log lenght, delivered, 75 a cord if I take it all at once. So price isn't bad. Also state parks do 50 a cord if its laying down already, but you gotta get it out the woods, so ? that.

Not a bad price really, I can get a truck load of hardwood for about $600.00 have a family friend that logs. I try not to bug him for wood, he makes a lot more selling it to other people. A load would last me (depending on weather) about 3 years. Too many people with wood laying around that just needs picked up and drug home for free. (Once I convince them im.not paying poop for it ?)

Well you shits, now I've bought another saw. Got a good deal on it, hope it don't get hung up in customs. Complete, straight outta the great white north. Things gonna be bitchen when I'm done with it. Husqvarna 562xp autotune, with a toasted top end. Gave about $250.00 us for it $60.00ish shipping. So along as the tax and duty is $100.00 or less, I'm ahead of the game a fair bit.
