steering issue

The stock Spektrum 901 is a god awful servo. Even with conservative EPA's, it still burned up in no time. Exactly as you described. The servo would just become weaker and weaker until it just barely steered. It was noticeably hot once the servo fade was apparent. Just upgrade the servo, it's not up to the job. It lasted all of 3 days for me before I sold it. After it cooled down, seemed to work as normal but it's not correctly spec'd for that vehicle. You can forget running in the grass, it barely holds up on tarmac.

Sean is right though. I find nobody I know uses EPA's. they are very important when it comes to preserving your servos. Unfortunately, EPA's weren't the issue with the Spektrum servos.

so should i swap out battery, servos, receiver and remote? good time to get everything straightened out?

Bin it. Ive had good luck with savox small servos. Big ones get ?? from me. They spaz out and are chattery as fek.

This has been my experience as well. All my 1/5 servos are jittery and buzz like a mofo. Whether they are Futaba, Spektrum, Savox, Hitec or PowerHD, they all jitter and are a bit inconsistent in performance. My hitec's seem to center to best out of all of them though. Almost all my 1/8 servos are great, regardless of brand. I wonder if the high torque output affects the consistency and accuracy of the servo.

That's very valid point. Now I bet you have no idea lol but how would the endpoints change? Just the physical abuse the vehicles take? Or what....I could see em getting out of whack over time
Exactly, poop gets baged around, worn out, and things change. If found servos trying to go to far a few times after a few hard runs.
