You should find a way to protect it ,if the wire gets fraid ,it will effect the receiver ,could cause lost signal!
I don't have a good pic of my Baja antenna ,but here is one of my rides that shows how the antenna is protected
in a tubing with a top cap!

I found the other piece in my car. Wheww
Mine was protected the same entire way I'm not exactly sure how it came off

Pretty common. I usually put a tiny amount of super glue where it goes into the tray.
I put a small piece of adhesive lined heat shrink around the tube and where it slides into the battery box.
I lost the cap on my losi on day 1? never replaced it ? works fine ??

The wife found it! It was inside our car lol just have lost it on the way to work

I'm so glad this case was solved. I was afraid I was going to have to lose sleep over this. 
Oh and if anyone happens to run across the little arm that goes from my brake servo to my Front disc brake master cylinder I want it back. And yes I'm serious about this. 
I honestly can't figure out how I lost it the last time I ran the buggy.

I'm so glad this case was solved. I was afraid I was going to have to lose sleep over this.
Tell me about it. It was connected in 2 different places and they both came loose . What are the odds of that happening? I'm hoping it's hiding inside the buggy somewhere. Thank god the rear brake sort of works to slow down the 30 lbs beast.

I've got a pretty long antenna ?
Mines the GTB. Think it's a 4-40 thread . Just need to get some 4-40 rod and cut and bend it to fit. Think the set screw came loose and then the rod spun out of the turnbuckle.don't you have the rcr breaks?
No I get that you have hydro in the front?? what do you have on the layshaft ? stock rovan ?

I was driving today at lunch and lost steering at full speed ??
Darn screw came out of the servo horn. Luckily I work in a well stocked machine shop
(thanks fastenal ??)
So I have an abundance of literally every single washer, bolt, and nut on my whole car! ?We have some stainless hardware (and grade 8) too but I haven't gone through those upper cabinets yet lol.

Threadlocker is your friend. Make good with the locktite gods, and they shall smile upon ye!
