So, thanks to @John Parks and @Z.hb71 and Facebook i was able to get my childhood RC. The RC that ignited the flame in my heart. It will be another project in the making but I think its a hell of a start. I don't rember it being this small tho?

I don't know why, but there's a certain smell I associate with that model. Probably has to do with the hobbyshop I used to frequent as a kid whilst drooling over that golden tub chassis, and the stealth transmission that was a popular addition...

Yup, gonna run it once or twice, but most of its life will be on a shelf. I'm gonna get an AM Futaba Magnum JR radio and try and make my own batts like back in the day. Going to get a Novak ESC and Associated brushed motor. Gonna be just like I remembered it.

Have ×2 functional futaba s3003 servos, and 2× unknown if they work futaba fp-s148's and a matching set of crystals

No luck on tx battery lid. Gorilla tape would work, and is the likely fix id make. Perhaps a replacement can be found. Im not attached to it at all, and doubt its worth much. If it helps complete your project, id trade it for your 5B?? or less?

?Sounds fair? Thanks but your is actually fancier than the one I had as a child. I had the one with only the steering trim little knob. I found one exactly like it on ebay for cheap. Thanks for the help tho?? Now have to find a Novak speed controller
