How do you guys do it? I see many rigs here that are nice and clean. How do you do it? Share your after run cleaning rituals here!

I use the air line in my garage to blow them down, blows off dust, grass etc. If they are muddy i clean them with some muc off, rinse then blow with air line, the liberal spray of GT85 or WD40 plus some mineral oil dripped onto bearings and ball joints.

Anyone spray theirs down with Simple Green then wash and blow with compressed air? I see folks doing that on other scale rigs. Also what do you use afterwards? I was told not to use WD40 rather use silicone spray lube. I can’t get GT85 here in Florida.

get ur self a good size air compressor ??
This will clean ur rig just fine unless ur like 21bangbang and go mudding thru piles of ? ?
then you’ll need some water to clean everything up and the compressor to dry it up nice. Then relube as needed

I’ve never sprayed my rigs down with wd40/Gt85 and there is zero rust. The trick is to always dry them 100% ?

I use this after every run and before I take them in the house. I only run on the street, grass, and dirt so I don't get filthy.

After a run season before winter put up, I do a good cleaning with simple green and water. I remove the engine and electronics and wash her down. Blow it out real good with compressed air, spray out bearings withe wd40, then silicon spray the entire chassis. After that, remove wheels and put bearing oil on and rotate all bearings. I spray down the electronics and engine/pipe with the simple green foaming crystals and blow off with the air gun from above. Then I do a good cleaning of the air filter and all outerwares. After all that reassemble and put up for the winter nap.

Quick question for everyone here...
How do you clean out your rigs after a good bash?
We had a bit of drizzle yesterday so my car has grass and caked on dirt... Do you goes hose them off? what should I be looking out for when doing that?
Any tips appreciated

I’ve pressure washed my rigs in the past when they have been completely covered in mud.
Just watch the electronics and engine filter obviously.

but typically all you need is. A good air compressor to blow them clean. Using water or degreasers to clean the rigs should be last resort.
Air is your best friend ??
