When i got my 1.0 i was working on the 2.0 version doing a engine swap for a customer. I saw the 2.0 upper mount plate on the clutch but didnt know until now there is a aftermarket one for the 1.0...

My question is which one is "better" per say? The silver one seems to me to have more bolt hole slots? So 2 bolts onto the clutch? But the bartolone one is thicker and more sturdy?

When doing the 470 engine swap is the mesh plate no longer a option or something new could be made or does obr install kits have that plate into the design?Screenshot_20201019-142545_Chrome.webpScreenshot_20201019-142606_Chrome.webp

The Alton design one will bolt up to a vertigo open clutch housing ?? .......but you don't need a virtigo open housing do you??‍♂️?View attachment 64909
So I guess the bart one it is?
I got holes in different area codes

I did small holes to replicate the billet case holes for flywheel vents. Plus was easier than dremeling it out to look like the vertigo like the first one i did
Ok so now i need clarification. Is this one universal as in fits both 1.0 and 2.0? The item details doesn't say Screenshot_20201019-152555_Chrome.webp

Have never used one personally as I don't see a point. Ran everything from a 29 to a 90cc in a losi and never had issues. Just added poop to remove when I clean in my opinion
Makes sense but i do bash and jump the poop out of mine at concrete pool skate parks so i think it cant hurt plus its always cool to have more semi usless billet. For billet sake. Heck i used to run billet quickdraw pistons cuz billet

?I used to think the same thing until I put my obr ss34 in my 5iveB. It actually needed it. Usually the top plate would fall right in place but for some reason I actually had to press it into place and you could actually see the mesh move to the correct spacing.

I always adjust my mesh on the engine screws. All my obr engines etc never had a mesh issue ?‍♂️

Never used the inserts for the chassis either as they are basically pointless.

Besides don't you need the vertigo bell to use their upper mesh plate? I have a v1 and v2 bell holder here, and no holes for the vertigo brace.... and tbh just mocking it up on the chassis I don't think I'd worry about using it either. More worried about servo flex in the radio box.

Im starting to figure this out. The whole numbered and fliped inserts threw me for a curve. But if they "lock" the mesh in place and less likely to slip from a standard washer i guess its a good idea just pita when fitting ?‍♂️

don't use washers either. Hell I don't even loctite my engine screws and never had any come loose.
