I personally wouldnt run amsoil 2 stroke oil, if it was the last 2 stroke oil in planet earth. They've screwed too many people on their 100 to 1 is enough claim. And lost a lot of dealers over the years.
Not another oil debate
Why not some of us don't have anything better to do today.

Local ope dealer got talked into pushing amsoil as the best thing since sliced bread. Specifically at 100to1 mix ratio. They bought into it, pushed it to their customers, who bought into the hype. Then after a wile they had a number of failures come in. Saws, blowers, weed wackers, trimmers. Funny bit was this was a mix of pro to homeowners who had this equipment. Needless to say amsoil never stood behind the failed equipment. So they lost a few local dealers, and I don't reccomend amsoil 2 stroke oil.

Technology can not be that far off from one brand of oil to another. They all would be advising us to run 100 to 1 if the tech was out to do so oil is oil I think Sean won't use Amsoil based on what they did but I am sure their oil works just as good as everyone elses if they are used in the same way.

Ironically I like there grease and don't have any issue with their 4 stroke oils.

I used the Super Tech for years ,I get it a WallMart ,an all of my garden equipment ran for 20 years with out issues ,they all also never ever got an exact measurement of oil .I always eye balled the color ,My stuff never was at rest ,I used it daily on 6 to 8 yards a day!

The 2001 Shindaiwa T230 ran up to last year ,an I quit my business an gave it to a friend to use ,he never gave it back!....LOL

But ,not to compare apples to oranges ,I am quite sure a higher performance engine requires top notch oils!...

Since 2 strokes use roller bearings and other similar bearings. Since bearing clearances aren't issue I really would think faliures would come down the quality of the metals and parts used. Also if you let it warm up properly or just start it and run it wot
