So I think im going to do it.

one Tip , you are GOING to have problems and failures ! OWN up to them and FIX them ASAP ! that is where rep comes from , I like the TOP END thing it PROVES you can do the main porting, Billet cases are for show or full Nitro ! plus they BLINGY
Yeah I know rofun is that super cheap brand but I'm trying to keep my engines relatively inexpensive. Ill have to weigh my options when I cross that road.
I have a Rovan bottom under a ESP race ported top end and so far so good ?? I am NOT nice to motors , cranks do one thing they spin and stay in balance thats IT ! , cases hold the crank THATS IT ( well air/fuel goes thru them but ) , bearings are WAAYYYY more important than cases.

@buzzkill I understand the rovan thing but somebody put the r&d in for the clone to copy. So in reality where are we starting from? Something that will be cloned again and improved on? Or fresh never seen before

At the moment my current lineup is hybrids from atv and motorcycle parts. Only person doing that is ALX engines and RCMax. However what separates me is that I do my own porting so ill be theoretically running higher compression per displacement. Im working hard trying to keep costs as low as possible. When I gave that price out earlier it was ment for completed engines.

Alx does their own porting and rcmax is a completely custom cylinder made in house. And you should also install decompression valves to your engines if you go through with this ,as it will be a female dog to start without one and will eat pullstarts like no tomarrow (I would know) .

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ , there is a TON of over priced stuff in this market, like you said Rovan made it more accessible ! personally I would go with them and build a great motor based on their basics , over time you end up with a great motor at low cost , then a race team for testing in real life etc. just me 2 cents.

there really is no reason that a stock head should not have race porting straight out of the box. !! in fact the molds can have it built right in ., a small amount of work like setting Squish and making sure the ring is right make a HUGE difference for a small amount of $

If you are going high compression engines don't leave pullstarts out of the mix. alx and rcmax is cream of the crop top dollar engines for a reason. Alot of cash and development went into them.

News to me. I don't own any of said engines. I'd prefer to do things my own way so I won't be buying any of those engines. Right now I'm in the middle of contacting 2strokestuffing about reedcase ideas and how to improve them. I don't take full credit for my ideas its a culmination of many years of experience between people who really know what they are doing.

Yep. Im in works with my head manufacturer to race port them before they even hit my doors at no additional costs. The first few batches of engines will be in-house ported.

So were just gunna erase zenoah and put a new name on the engine?
Essentially there won't be any zenoah parts on it. It will just work with the zenoah clutch houseing because I personally belive compatability should be one of the highest priorities.

Currently my head design is a 2 part system where there will be a billet cooler ontop of the cylinder like how marine engines do it.

@Troopermaniac I was more picking on buzzkill but if I remember correctly people were talking about your engines and cases being compatible with zen parts. If your getting in rcmax and alx type engines then I understand

Not a problem I'll root for you if you come up with engines on the rcmax and alx platform. But from talking to various people the 23-34cc engines are pretty much maxed out you have to be above the 34cc mark to be seen.. and thats just my opinion

Not entirely true. 34cc actually has a bit more that can be squeezed out of it. The complexity of trying to get to where it needs to be ground out is the issue and is why that project will be on the back burner for me. I will have to make custom tooling inorder to unleash the 34cc to its maximum potential however im worried it may not be worth it. I may decide to do a limited run to see how well it goes but I doubt people will buy it over the 50cc as prices would be similar. I would want to sleeve and do a custom piston, turboed crank, and lightweight rod for the 34cc.

There's a reason Alx rcmax aren't compatible with the zen clutches, they can't handle the power. Their 40-50cc engines are (rcmax) , but beyond that , those clutches are useless.

Rovan is cheap cuz they don't do any r&d or development. They just copy and paste with low quality meterial.

Yeah I'm a bit worried about that. I have to figure out realistically what RPM and torque I can achieve before pulling the plug on that clutch idea. Compatibility is my main focus but I could always go for the goped clutches instead if I HAVE to.
