Beater Baja , since that's the one that will get jumped. And baja shocks (especially the stock ones) and known to over extend.
I gotta ask. Are they really that necessary? I keep passing by the idea of limit straps but to be honest I'm curious.

Yes I have stock hpi shocks and they work great at the mo
#1 shocks over extended and the shock end comes out and the shaft bends
#2 your drive pins come out the cups and you bend a dogbone
If you are un lucky both of the above happen together
and they work great at the moTwo things can happen

If I'm honest I have not had it over extend. The shaft has come out (the nut was loose) never over extend. Still, I'd put some on
I wonder if thats why my front shocks stiffened. Possible that the shafts bent from overextending.

I was blowing outdrive cups doing cartwheels and tumbles etc without limit cables. Since fitting some home made limit cables I'm now keeping the rubber boots on the dogs bones and seeing no drive train trouble at all.
They definitely help in my eyes.

Ey how much did that twin cost anyway? I think ONE day I'd like to get a twin. Id probably like to try one out before committing to a buy.
