Are lightened flywheels actually worth it, like are there actually any real noticeable performance gains?

Ok, first I will get a feel for the g320 stock, and I might self lightenwhat ryan rep and crucial said,
i've run lightened flywheel on 26cc and have a mildly lightened one on a stock g320,
it really is a noticable difference dude![]()
best way is get it properly machined ,Ok, first I will get a feel for the g320 stock, and I might self lighten![]()
not so farNo cooling issues?
Cool, I know things are kinds tight in the l5b so may be a bad idea for that rignot so far,
obvousley coolings reduced with removing fins, but trial and error tbh, thats why my g320 is only mildly lightened at first,
i will try a heavily lightened one on g320 when feel a bit braver,
26cc one aint so bad cos i don't really care what happens to it, its only a 26 2 bolt,
if you have an old engine that still runs half decent but you don't mind if it goes pop then thats the best way dudeCool, I know things are kinds tight in the l5b so may be a bad idea for that rig![]()
Nah it’s brand new, maybe like 2 tanks through itif you have an old engine that still runs half decent but you don't mind if it goes pop then thats the best way dude![]()
,
fruitbat kev on here used to do lightened flywheels , but that was a fair while ago,
he's over here in the uk though,
I wouldn't lighten one yourself as you most likely will create an imbalance and cause the engine to break itself to piecesOk, first I will get a feel for the g320 stock, and I might self lighten![]()
No, spinning mass. The more mass spinning the harder it is to stop but takes more power and longer to spool up. Exact opposite for light mass, takes little power and spins up fast, but doesn't have the mass to carry though.@Polar_Bus isn’t it almost like torque vs horsepower or am I off in my thinking?
