Well I guess you'll get used to seeing the red cancer spreading over your pipe. I use 0000 steel wool on my guns that get sent pit to be re blued, it leaves a satin like finish, and I care way more about the finish on a gun then a pipe. Pock your poison, tiny little scratch or rusty pipe. Sanding it will scratch it as well as scotch Brite. Just the way of the world. This could have been avoided if you kept after it in the first place.

ok ill do the steel wool
Finally after two internet platforms you gonna take a positive step forward 👏🏻

I use wd40 on both pipes because it displaces moisture and it doesn't dry up. You must apply wd40 within 30 minutes or so after running since the pipe is unprotected it will rust. Also wd40 doesn't leave any residue when the pipe heats back up and won't mess with the coloring

and I came across your squishy tire video and thats why I'm here now

Pretty sure the color can come back but you have to remember with exhausts in order to have a clean uniform finish you must remove all oils and contamination or else it will be burned into the pipe. And no thats not good enough you have to keep going with the steel wool not a polishing compound
