I have 2 bajas so I guess ill rob parts for now. Can be a last step I suppose on this build so game on for now….Im installing a titanium layshaft so Ill deal with this one later.

To dye your gas tank black.
Tank in. 2012 hpi gas tank. Fill cheap pot with water plenty to submerge tank and add entire bottle of dye+ 1 tablespoon of dawn dish soap. Weigh tank down in there with whatever you got to submerge it lol. Bring to boil and turn heat down to slow boil-simmer. Stir 6-8 times while cooking it.
I poop you not. Im 20 minutes in and its already very dark.
simmer it submerged for 1 hr. Then turn stove off an let it sit on stove after turning it off overnight in pot submerged. I will show results in the morning.
I used this cheap pot from walmart it was like 10 bucks and does not stain at all.

bone stock arms. Im using 1”hub extenders though. On a different note Im not an alloy fan. Ive beat the poop out of this baja and Its held up well.
I have raced 1/10th scale for years and years. My natural driving skills because of that is probably why I haven’t broke much.
All my plastics are bone stock from an original Hpi baja5b 2.0 I purchased in 2012.
I have an original Hpi 5t as well but i let it sit more I got plans for it later..

I don't mind a 50/50 mix just not full alloy think I might do the killer rc battery box top for my build. I like the full sealed top
