Will storing cars on its weight, for a prolonged time, damage the tires, foams or suspension?

It can for sure impact the tires by causing flat spots in the foam/tire. I wouldn't worry about the suspension as much as the tires. I keep all my RCs on some sort of stand to keep them off their tires when sitting. They sell stands or you cab make them out of PVC pipe, wood, you name it. Depends on the rig and the size of it as to what works best.

I've heard that prolonged storage on the wheels also have the ability to start to distort the A arms as well. Its supposedly the reason turtle racing made the billet plastic arms for thr 5t

The question comes from the fact I’ve seen pictures and videos were the 1/5 cars are shown standing on its weight.

I never leave mine like that. They are always supported in a way other than the arms.

Just use anything you have to take the weight of the tyres. Old paint tin. Whatever u have. Doesn’t need to be fancy. Just effective

Store for long time, Tires/foam could be damaged but not affect the suspension. It is better to store your car on a stand.
