Is there anyone that can help figure out why my carb on my dbxl 2.0 has black oily stuff on it
its usually normal build up of weepage and dirt mate, unless you have a big leak that would be pretty obvious though,
the dirtier the place you run the more you will notice it,
some of us wont really notice it cos we keep the carbs and cars really clean,
i try and give my carb a blast off with brake cleaner every so often, ( only do that when everythings cool and in a well ventilated area though ) (y) ,

I only been running mine in a parking lot. No dirt or anything. Unless I have a leak

Hey Spents, why brake cleaner and not carb cleaner?

post a picture mate,
plus how long you been running the car without cleaning the carb off etc,
and theres still gonna be dust in a parking lot (y)

It’s brand new this is like my 4th tank and been keeping the car clean but it’s just oily feeling and it keeps coming back idk if it’s normal or not

Non chlorinated brake clean is what spents is talking about. It can still be pretty harsh, but normally not as bad at regular brake clean or carb cleaner.
If your talking about in the thought of the carb then it's dirt from running it. The air filters pretty well suck on the dbxl platform so it's wouldn't hurt to get an aftermarket one.

I cleaned the carb and have a different air filter. I will see what happens
