hey guys.. Just ordered the esp 34cc ported top end kit for my 320 stock engine. What mods do i need to make in the cases to fit the +2mm stroker??
TIA

There will be instructions in the box to tell you where to grind. I believe I got away with not having to grind my cases to fit the stroker crank, your basically making room for the bottom of the rod not to hit the case

Hey Rep732.. I did receive my esp kit.. but theres no instruction about the case mods.. Only tuning instructions..

If you guys are grinding cases then it is a little more involved.
Like splitting the cases in order to clean out and material from grinding.

Keeping it clean inside is " so important".
You have gone this far , don't cut corners now.

How on earth would you grind the case with out splitting it? Need to remove the stock crank for the new one anyway = splitting the case.

You don’t.

Maybe split it and pull crank. Bolt the halves back together , grind for rod clearance this way parting line is the same. Disassemble and wash. The start assembly.

Thank you guys for the help.. But luckily theres no need to grind the cases for clearance.. the new crank fits as it is..

Not exactly sure on your combonation so maybe what I am asking does not apply.

Does the connecting rod clear the block as well? I know on a lot of the stroker stuff I do ( automobile application ) the crank itself clears no problem. The problem is the rods hit the pan rail once installed on the crank.

Just be sure that the big end of the rod clears as well.

Using a stock Zenoah G320..
installing the esp 34cc top end

Yes.. Checked.. No problem with clearance..

Maybe thats why they stopped putting instructions to modify the case..

Hey guys.. Finally started the engine.. Sounds great but theres one problem!!
It idles great but while giving throttle input.. It bogs for half a second and then pulls well.. What could it be??

My thoughts too. Open up the Low needle a bit.

I should have mentioned low.

This whole kit is larger displacement wise so watch it doesn't go lean on the top end as well.
In theory a bigger displacement engine will use more fuel.

Myself, I would probably fatten them both up and then tune from there.
At least it should be safe a little on the rich side; at least for starters.

Agreed. I always run them fat to begin with even after my extensive break-in process. I like to sneak up on a crisp, full power tune. Lol

Thanks guys.. Low end is perfect now.. But struggling with the top end.. Have gone one full circle on the high end but still not enough power..

Yehh.. it feels like it’s bogging after the initial pick up..

Could it also be too rich??
Sure it could.
Try going in maybe 1/8 turn at a time.
Make a pass and " listen " to it.
In another 1/8 and try again.

Sneak up on it a little at a time.
Don't make multiple changes at the same time.
Baby steps and use your ears!
