For the past two days I can’t get this thing to run. I go with the base settings, go rich, go lean, no difference.
Low is 1-1/8 out
High is 1 1/8-1 1/4 out
A guy on YouTube suggests 1.5 and 2 turns out
Neither work honestly and going lean from base settings still result in wet plugs.
 
It could be overly flooded. I had that happen and it took me days to get it running again. Flip the truck over and remove the spark plug then pull on the pullstart and see if fuel comes dumping out. Your gunna need a new plug or dry the wet one really good
 
Walbro 1107, when cold, choke and 3 soft pulls and it sounds like it’s ready. Choke off I just pull it but not like an animal.

I have 3 of them I have been swapping with. If it gets wet I spray it with carb cleaner and grab the next dry one
Thanks for the help. I made a video but half the time the car wasn’t on so of course it wouldn’t start. 🤦

Yea no kidding. On my first (and only) nitro, I didn’t have any troubles tuning and getting it started.
I did try turning it over and pulling it a few times. Only the DDM vented gas cap leaked out fuel. 🤷🏼
Tomorrow I will source a couple more plugs just to try “new” plugs
 
I got it running this morning, it was idling great but I was sorting out a bog that it had. I couldn’t tell if it was lean or rich. I just kept going very small adjustments until it just died.
Seems like it was all good until it warmed up really well. Now it’s back to not starting.

I had it running and driving yesterday, then it did its thing where it just starts to die out. I pulled the plug and it looked a little oily, then I looked inside the carb, it was flooded. I took it off and cleaned up the little screen inside. I double checked that the little needle seat arm was at the right height according to the gage that came with the spiral diaphragm.
That seemed to bring it back to life for about 5 minutes of driving then it flooded up again.
Just for experimental purposes I put the rubber diaphragm and corresponding arm back in the carb. It went straight to flooding the carb.
At this point I have it narrowed down to a carb issue. It’s simply flooding. My hand vac pump has a leak so I can’t test if that needle seat leaks. That’s the next step.
 
My hand vac pump broke so I set my air compressor regulator to 20psi and adjusted the pop off pressure. If you have a blower nozzle and can set pressure on your compressor if you have one you can test the carb. Test needs to be done wet tho.
 
So I’m pushing fuel through the supply using low air pressure. I may have a compressor that goes down to 20.
My hand vac leaked so bad it couldn’t even pull more than 7psi.
I have searched how to do this but haven’t seen any good videos.

Ok maybe there are a few good ones

Yes fill the line maybe half of the length, use maybe 8"-10" of fuel line. Take the metering cover off and the diaphragm. Now just watch for air bubbles or for it to pop off.

I drove it last night up and down the street, it seems like I had it dialed in, I was thinking maybe the flooding went away. Then as usual, it started running like chit. I got a good bit of joy out of it. My son drove one of the Teknos with me.
