the hobby can wear you down it did with me i had 12 months of things breaking and motors going pop ,so i,ve had 6 month rest from the hobby before it drove me insane lol, my baja has sat under a pool table in my sons bedroom and at one point i allmost sold it but so glad i never .

king motor and rovan are very well priced for what you get, my baja is a mix of all four brands k,m hpi, rovan and sq .

i just oil the inner, i use PJ1 super tacky motox spray oil. put some oil ,and a tgn redneck outer filter dry no oil .

the best dogbones out there are k,m ones i,ve never twisted one yet. the skid plates are a good idea tho,baja chassis bend very easy at the front were it kicks up, i made my own one from 3mm steel .
