Sadly, 5th scale is somewhat rarified nowadays with the racing scene having died off. But over the last couple years we are seeing more and more newcomers. Like Leon mentioned, you might get lucky and find a local group on Facebook.

I think @Harold Bascom lives in your area as well. PM him, he might be able to hook you up.
