2 speed transmission problem

that's because that's a Losi 5ive-T, it's a different design gearbox for it. Functionality is the same, you need to hear the revs drop when it shifts.

My concern is since that filter you used if the piston head turn black, when the piston head turn black some times is hard to start, and some it start but you need to pull the throttle and after run few minutes and die and check the intake gasket or the 2 screws holding the intake

Ok guys, please look at the following pictures and tell me what you think. I'm thinking the paw is not grabbing because it's backwards. I do not see how to flip it over the other way because how the paw is offset and one side is flat and other side is not. When looking directly at the clutch bell, the clutch bell turns counter clock wise right wich means the 2nd shaft where the paw is turns clockwise right? The outer hub in front of the paw has 3 different places it can grab and I'm pretty sure it's just sliding by them. There is no tone difference telling me it's shifting into 2nd gear like I see and hear on other 2 speed 5th scale trucks. Remember, this is a Chinese transmission that had the one way bearing backwards when I bought it, thank god they sent me another one way bearing for free. Please help guys and tell me what you all think.View attachment 7878

Ok guys, hope this makes sense and I might be an idiot, lol. I posted the same thing on facebook and a guy replied. He seid it's the gear that grabs the paw when the paw is open, not the paw that grabs the gear. I have to adjust the spring within the paw to get it to shift. It's either always in 2nd gear or never shifting because rpm's are not high enough or too high. Hope that makes sense.

View attachment 7885They already sent another 1 way bearing that was correct and would have fixed this issue if it were the transmission that was wrong and not user error, lol.

I won't know until I take the truck out drive it after adjusting the spring on the paw. But it does make sense according to the pics and I'm thinking it will work. Thank you for your help.

It's not exactly the same, but it's definetely a demon clone. Hope it holds up ok, I might consider one.

Do you see those 3 steel pins inside the paw housing?
