Mines on my calf. Now I wear chaps.

I worked for a tree surgen for a summer ,think I was 23 or 24 at the time . Was cutting some downed trees up and delimbing them and got a little careless. Almost got sucked into a chipper that summer too. That was actually really scary. Was tossing in a 15 foot branch and it snagged me on the way in and tried to pull me in . The chute was what saved me thankfully.

Bro that chipper story reminds me of Fargo

, ???

The chipper we had ran at about 2500 rpm . It use to howl. Scary as f_ck. Simular to this with a chevy 350 ci engine in it. If I hadn't hit the chute opening and if it hadn't stopped me I wouldn't be here. I was going in head first. It would have been over quick.

Now there are "last chance" bars and cords in and around the shoots on chippers. It's more of a make you feel safe kinda thing, then a I'll remember to grab/hit it when I'm getting drug in.

IIRC the big drawback between a 4 stroke engine compared to 2 stroke, was the 4 stroke needed to basically 2x the engine size to the 2 stroke to create roughly the same amount of power. Keep in mind, my opinion is based on MotoGP when they transitioned from the 500cc 2 stroke to the 990cc 4 stroke. Granted, the 4 stroke outperformed the 2 stroke in MotoGP back in the early 2000s.

But when it comes to 5th scale, in theory one would need an ALX 71 sized 4 stroke engine to compete with the current modded 34cc engine. I would bet the 4 stroke engine would be really heavy compared to the 2 stroke.

It was the same with the 250/450 class on pro mx. Like I posted abOve this 36cc engine makes 1.2 hp. A stock zen 32 makes 5ish hp. In reality we (rc) don't have to worry about the emission laws that most other hobbies do, meaning there isnt going to be a surge in new tech for us.
