No.Was not sure I should run it with the bell off.I don’t know thought I might damage the clutch.I see where you are going though. If I start it with the bell off and the rattle is gone I know what the problem is.I take it is ok to run without the bell on.i

Sounds to me like the brake discs vibrating against the hex. Mine sounded exactly the same. You should hear it with a steel spur and pinion! It sounds like a can full of steel shot.

I personally wouldn't worry about it. These models vibrate like there's no tomorrow. Just make sure your metal to metal screws have blue thread lock and let 'er rip. Your plastic clutch housing will be the biggest weak spot with the stock setup. I'd recommend getting a Vertigo once you have some coin.

Thanks guys.Going to put it back together and see if the rattle is gone.If it’s not it’s getting run anyway.?

I think that the noise is rather normal ,I get a noise on my Baja ,on mine ,it is only a dinging noise from the bell ,however most
folks here have a enclosed Billet bell housing an may not here the sounds ,but to me ,anything that is in motion an has contact
with other componets will make a noise ,it is a law of physics!....

Quick update.Ran the buggy a couple times now and the rattle is still there but the car seems to be running ok.Needs a good clean though.?.Thanks to everyone for the help.?.
