He doesn't have an issue, hes being pissy because I called him out on his bullshit. Had issues with his stock air filter, and said he bought the rb innovations over the tr housing because the tr doesn't have a bolt on filter, to which I pointed out neither version of the tr filter housing lends to a design that would easily come apart, unless there was user error. To which he decided I was calling him stupid. Which i was not. Now hes saying i cant comprehend English, which is funny. But I digress, guess no ones ever had a screw cone out of their rc car.?‍♂️?
I'll also add I stated that the tr system clamps on, before the new guy went on his tirade about how the factory filter is attached...... so be a big boy. Go back and reread from the start. Then go shimmy up a cactus and rotate
Called me on my bullshit? And what bullshit is that exactly? My decision to buy a different air intake box than the one you chose to buy?

And yes, anything can fail. Obviously. However, a design that uses bolts is less likely to come apart than a design that relies on clips or clamps. Maybe that difference doesn't matter to you, but it is just my preference.

You said specifically "only thing that could clamp on is the actual filter, and if that fails it's more or less your fault for not having it on right." which would suggest that you believe I am actually too dumb to properly clamp the filter on multiple times, as I had just got done saying how my stock filter had repeatedly fallen off. And when I asked you how a person could improperly install the stock filter, you went on a rant about how my opinion that clamp or clip on filters are more likely to fall off than bolt on filters is somehow wrong.

If anybody is getting pissy here, it is you.

Lastly, I didn't say you can't comprehend English. I said you don't comprehend what you read. Which is made all the more obvious by that statement.
I see your going to go far here. And go make your own thread if you want to complain rather than jacking someone else's
The OP asked if people changed their stock filter. I am doing exactly that and so I relayed what filter I was changing to and why. I was exactly on topic.

It's not my fault this other guy got his panties in a twist over my reasons for choosing one air box over another.

Sean is a really stand up member on this forum and im gunna say your delivery and your lack of willingness to take criticism and advise could better. For christ sake its an rc forum not Jerry springer. If I was you I'd just drop it and move on and chaulk it up as a misunderstanding and as you say you got it handled.

Also we all had stock filters at one point so when you say it fell off you peaked alot of curiosity around here so pictures or an evaluation would have been the right start. Also without blue loctite on metal to metal parts on these rigs nothing will stay together

I wasn't asking for help. And what picture would I post if I was? My air filter laying next to the truck after it fell off?
Pictures are great even if you don't need help we all like a good photo bomb ??

I take criticism and advice just fine. I just asked him to explain how somebody could attach the stock filter incorrectly (because that genuinely needs an explanation) and he escalated from there.

And while I realize that maybe the stock filter falling off repeatedly is not a common issue, I do know it was common enough back in the day that it was all over the forums and sparked companies like TR to come up with designs that relocated the filter placement to be away from directly under the side panel of the body, where crashes and impacts could knock it right off the carb.

Lastly, as I said in my original comment, this all happened like 5 years ago. I can't very well take pictures of something that happened in the past. And besides that, I was never the type of person to whip out my phone and take pictures every time something happens. I was more concerned at the time with making sure my engine wasn't destroyed by sucking up all the dust in the air.
