So should i use the teflon gaskets that come with an alloy intake manifold or use normal gaskets?

Have you checked recently? I thought the same thing, then went and had a look see bolts were tight and could move the carb around like it was slicked down with butter.I have always used the Teflon with no problems.
Best part is they're reusable.
The plastic spacer also keeps heat away from carb.I've never had an issue with the teflon gaskets either. Just torque them to spec. Although, the best remedy is what obr does, it's a hard plastic spacer and you put gaskets in front and behind it to seal . Works a charm, this is on my 34 reed but it's the same for their aluminum manifold they sell View attachment 68540
