He did another video about the cost. Cost of parts over $300. Real costs including parts, tools, and wrong/broken parts was over $1000. Said at the time of build an used Iphone 6s was going for $250-$300.

Not sure bet it was a load. Bet though if he had no trial and error , or say he had a market tech build it , the phone would be less than half of retail

Spending $1,000 to build your own iPhone is stuuuuupid in my opinion. Just buy a used one and call it a day.

Lol, I spend 130 on my Google pixel, works amazing. I'm cheap when it comes to phones,I don't care about the latest and greatest,. I want something thats reliable, looks good, fast, and has good storage. I'd love a samsung s9 or a OnePlus 6t or a iPhone xr, I'm just not gunna save for one cuz the extra money is better spent on upgrades ? to me. But this dude gets some bragging rights, "i built my own iPhone"

Yup was wondering when you were going to get there.

I'm there too because I bought a Rovan and have been upgrading the crap out of it . But I would have done the same with a HPI 5B sooooooooooo.
