My disdain for them goes back to my 1/8 s ale adventures. Specifically my terra crusher and my savy. Roke arms on both at one point. The terra crusher I couldnt get plastic, but scored a full alloy chassis set on ebay. Next outting it cartwheels and broke the perches. So now it's all alloy, and I cant get driveshaft parts for it ?. The savy started out the same way, it's full alloy everything now. The arms don't break, it's the havoc they unleash on the pins and mounts. I've actually bought several savages over the years for replacement parts from crashing it. Next time I stuff it it's getting plastic arms, as I'm out of the spares I have. Lesson learned for me. Go alloy on what you want keep the arms as a sacrifice. Jmo

I always ran plastic rpm arms on an my savvys?...again never broke a rpm one?...but have killed a few stock ones?

I was making the point about him "machining" titanium. Talking like he's gonna throw a block of it In there and tackle it like 7075 or something like that.

THAT was the point.

@bluedickduke nobody’s talking like they’re gonna throw a block of aluminum and tackle it like 7075. You’re a machinist for 15 years and you should know about feeds and speed formula in a cnc right?

You could run the best surface footage with optimal rpm and chip load per tooth and STILL if your tools and machine aren't up to spec. You're gonna have a hell of a time. Titanium is tough. I ain't getting into this on another thread. I have nothing to flex lol

Finished installing them. They look nice. Gotta get 2 5mm screws. The SS screws that came with the stocks are Left hand threads

Yeah bud. We’ll see how these hold up. Some say it holds some say they don’t. I guess I’ll find out for myself?
I had a fg mb pro all done up in aluminum. It was heavy. I never bashed it real hard. Never bent or broke anything on it. If you seen on slow motion how the “Plastic” arms flex and move you wouldn’t believe it. Aluminum isn’t forgiving. Oh yah first run they will look like crap. So take lots of pix now. It sure does look nice when new.

Nah ?but @mark35 has? 71cc baja big fat argument with a log????
My bigbore baja that had the disagreement with the log has krapen x2e arms, it was my twin baja that I killed a flm rear arm on and that was just from a cartwheel, same setup as your twin doug so I wouldn't laugh so hard if I was you???
Dunno if you losi guys know but turtle racing does upgrade arms made from billet plastic ??‍♂️ ridge back arms they are called??

Are those the turtle racing ones? Thought about getting them when I needed to replace an arm but they are pretty pricey.

So far I haven't had any issues with the stock a-arms, except for the time I hit a tree.

Yes that's them! Pricey yes but I loveee nylon!

My stock ones worked great until Wednesday when my wife and I were outside and I hit the ditch Culvert doing about 20 miles an hour

"honey I have to order new control arms!"

? ?

"could be worse, go for it!"

"I think my engine is damaged.. Yeah.. It's damaged.
For sure, i need a modified obr immediately!"

I tried

???
