I've never seen titanium arms... Ever.Ahhh poop I thought it would be better. I bought front and rears. I paid 110 for the set. What about titanium?
Ya I've Seen multiple titanium parts. poop just the shock mounting bolts were 80$!! ?You do get titanium turnbuckles for losi 5? maybe there is some confusion ?coz if only seen alloy arms ?
I'd not get them if I was running on road coz curbs hurt??View attachment 59583
Ehh I disagree.
Aluminum doesn't flex like plastic.. It breaks.
Quickly
Plastic and nylon flex and is way more durable for bashing!
If you only drive on the streets, go for it. But it's a bad idea for off road if you do bashing or jumping.
I paid 34$ for two arms. Lemme know what replacements cost you on the shitluminun
??
Pee es: it took me 3 weeks of smashing into poop to break mine. Finally a concrete culvert at full speed got me. If you ONLY did that in grass. I'd say mow your fiddlesticking yard bub. Or you just suck at driving ??![]()
I'm a machinist of 15 years. You better have high grade, multi coated carbide cutters and a thermally stable machine to reduce vibrations.I gotta see how much for titanium stock. If the price is not too bad, Maybe I can machine them
And I'm sure someone, some where, has shredded them.I see guys with alloy arms who haven't complained of breaking. Is this just rumors that turned into fact, or have people shredded alloy arms.
Thats not the point though. Do they actually fail more often than plastic??I'm a machinist of 15 years. You better have high grade, multi coated carbide cutters and a thermally stable machine to reduce vibrations.
Orrr just stick with nylon or what you're getting
??
And I'm sure someone, some where, has shredded them.
I was making the point about him "machining" titanium. Talking like he's gonna throw a block of it In there and tackle it like 7075 or something like that.Thats not the point though. Do they actually fail more often than plastic??other than what people think, I wonder whats true. Ever bust one Doug?
Well good for younever broke a arm yet either on my 5ive or l5b?
and it flys?
