Hey guys.

Not posted for a while so thought id pop in and say hi.

Have run in the LSOR National (UK) series for the last 8 or so years running most makes of RC.

Just had a 2 year break after running a Losi 5ive T in the SC class.
Felt like a change back the the 4x4 class so managed to find a good used Leopard 4 to ease myself back in.

Not done much as its an ex national car so already had some of Ians trick bits fitted.

So put my spare Evo tunning stage 2 smooth in it and painted the shell

Quick update.

Well ran the Pickering national and was ok after a couple of breakages nothing major but struggled to get used to how it handles after 2 seasons running the Short course class.

Car felt a bit under powered out the corners , was running a rebuilt evo 28.5 smooth that was built for my 5ive T so decided to treat myself.

So a new NRB spec oddie 26cc was orderd.

Picked up on the Sat morn of the MMR national so got to fitting it before the practice started.

What a differance car feels so much quicker now.
Couple of little issues with the front hub bolt snapping in my first 2 heats but sorted for the final.

Managed 4th in the B final. Was happy enough still need loads more track time to build up my confidence.

4th don't sound bad to me for your first race back with a brand new motor. Keep us updated on your races, Good luck!.... If you don't mind me asking, what diff are you running in your buggy? It's time for a new diff in my Marder and idk if I should get another viscous (have one now and it pisses the oil out almost right away) or try a powerlock.

Hi there.

Its running the standard comp diff in the rear with an oddified one way in the front.

But i used to run a Oddified elec mag diff in my old Hormann and it was great

Have a read

I forgot to post back. Thanks for the info, I ended up going the route of alloy adjustable diff kit, the one with the two screws. Not thrilled with it and already busted the thrust bearing...... How's racing going? Compete lately?

That is awesome! Where I live there are no tracks and mostly a basher following. I was lucky enough to find a group that meets on weekends in a nice secluded parking lot but no organized offroad. I grew up on the wrong side of the country. Seems like these guys on our west coast are having an absolute blast, like you.
