Been looking at those, half the cost of the car....
Yes they are a bit spendy. My Protek throttle/brake servo retail at £169. 😬

I have alerts set up on my phone whenever they're listed on eBay. I have a few of them now - the last one I sniped in the last 5 seconds of an auction. £85! Brand new, sealed.

In comparison, my humble Savox steering servo was £50.

I'm very impressed with AGF though - they make excellent servos. I run them in my Sworkz T2E, Kronos XTR and Losi 22X-4 Elite.

Their 1/5th scale servos will be equally impressive - Brushless, waterproof, HV, and magnetic hall effect position sensor. 😎💯

Hi.
What arms did you get ?
Are they extended or standard length ? coz longer ones look kind of cool and make the buggy more stable.
I would have gone with the alloy steering set over nylon myself , but should be up to the job anyway.
We want pictures !

Std length arms - the extended arms were over budget.

The steering setup was the only one they had, only £34 so if it's no good I I can replace, my thoughts are that I will keep the std HPI steering servo for the moment, replace the brake/throttle servo for a 40kg decent one and see how I like the car.

Pics once the parts arrive, will fit on Friday

Should work fine , just not got the bling of the alloy one.
You could fit some wheel extenders to get more track width quite cheaply.
Should end up nice with the bits on there , just don't forget the pictures .

as above fella ☝️, fid brakes are good (y),
also as above i've had gtb brakes as well, in fact i still have em, but a pain to bleed and they always seem to get air bubbles back in the lines as well,
shock oil the stock baja shocks always came with mineral based oil, thats all i've ever used in stock baja shocks cos was always unsure whether silicon oil would make the o rings swell or not, and 35wt all round is a good place to start,
i-rc shocks use silicon oil from the get go though,
Yeah ! mine kept doing that too .
only bled the FID setup once and it still works.

You can buy shock seal parts for the standard shocks , they are on Fleabay and Alliexpress , and there are Rovan big bore shocks on there as well , Half the price , though mine leaked from new till I fitted them with double lip seals I got for a couple of pounds. Nice and smooth now.

The push/pull setup will be a significant improvement either way. The nylon one has more flex. Both look really nice to be fair. I went with the alloy one because my rig already had enough black parts. 😅

The Standard HPI servo is based on a well known 1/5th scale servo and works fine. To be honest it's the sub optimal geometry that hurts the steering more than the servo itself.👍

Exercise caution with axle extenders.

I highly recommend modifying the front axle if they're the type retained by e clips.

Works a treat. Requires a little shaving of the lower arms for clearance at full articulation. 👍
