Baja Wont Idle

Hi guys, I was playing with the Rovan 36 today and it was really ripping, until I stopped. The idle goes down after about 1-2 seconds of idling and then it is a huge pain to restart. If i don't keep the car going it dies, I checked the plug and it looks fine. Thanks.

I feel like really ripping means it was lean and mean and now low on compression

idle is where it should be, when i initially started it it idled great.
@Rep732 its at factory settings and has great compression

Possible air leak...any reside around behind the intake/carb...from the start to the end of the run anything could of happened...we have to figure out what happened

Air leak should raise the idle. Turn the idle up and give it a try. You don't tune until the engine is up to temps.

Since its a clone engine maybe coil or carb is shitting the bed...plug looks a little dirty to me

coil is good, mabe carb, i have a new plug should i put it in?

the engine starts great the first time, then after i start running it, the idle becomes a prob, then its a pain to start

Try taking the gas cap off and starting it.
Might be a tank vent problem.

That plug looks fouled to me. I'd Try a new plug then go from there
