Bartolone pipes

I recently purchased a bartolone pipe from s fellow forumer , I'm not complaining what so ever , I'm just curious of how guys refinish these pipes , steelwool , sandblast , fine sand paper , just curious here , in making my own finish

I have seen a few guys steel wool them then clean them really well and use that barbeque high heat paint that you cure by heating it up.They look pretty good when done but the best way is to powdercoat with a high heat ceramic,

Powder coat or chrome or just oil it after every run?? raw looks good but you have to look after it ??

Rag and wd 40 after each run will keep rust away.

So is steel wool a good cheap way to go on these things ,, seems it would work pretty well , but in not familiar with the material

Should work just fine, I would get a finer wool.

The wool will polish the steel as it cleans...you will have to be pretty consistent with your pressure and go the same way with the pipe the whole way to keep it uniform. Otherwise you'll have some spots more shiney than others.. i vote to sand blast to get it to look one shade across and let the heat give it color

Exciting ! I have plenty of scouring time till the truck gets here , next I geuss I'd the Killswitch n outerwheres , Wich by the way , has anybody had troubles with the piece of outerwears that goes on the motor , with it not getting around the middle mounting lobe

Ceramic coat them. If you have a local powder coat shop most can ceramic coat also. Looks clean and can withstand the heat forever

My shop here charges $40 a pipe. Which is about what you'll have is spray paint products by the time you buy that.

Yes, he basically has to in order for it to be clean enough. He has done around 10 pipes for me, and one being a full exhaust for my renegade and they all continue to look great.
